Mike Eldred has built a distinguished four-decade career as a singer, actor, concert artist, producer, and coach. Known for his powerful tenor voice and deeply personal approach to storytelling, he has performed on Broadway, with leading symphony orchestras, and in concert halls and stages all around the world.

On Broadway, Mike appeared as Jean Valjean in *Les Misérables* and was a member of the original cast of the Tony Award-nominated musical *The Civil War*. He performed in the 25th-anniversary national tour of *Jesus Christ Superstar* and starred as “The Tenor” in the national concert tour of *Handel’s Messiah Rocks*. His performance as Tony in the Nashville Symphony’s production of *West Side Story* earned international praise and was described by Cast Album Reviews as “arguably the best ‘Tony’ on record.” The recording was released internationally by Naxos.

As a concert artist and host, Mike has appeared with many of North America’s leading symphony orchestras, including those of Baltimore, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Edmonton, Fort Worth, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Nashville, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, Seattle, and Toronto.

Mike’s solo recordings reflect the breadth of his musical life. His debut album, *ME*, features favorites from the Broadway stage. It was followed by the holiday recording *Let It Begin*, featuring several special guests, including his former touring partner Jim Brickman. His album *Come Love Me Again: Remembering John Denver* celebrates the music, message, and enduring influence of one of Mike’s earliest inspirations and serves as a companion to his symphonic concert of the same name.

Today, Mike’s work is increasingly centered on creating opportunities for artists, strengthening communities through music, and helping others discover their most authentic voice. He is the founder and executive director of Amazing Place Music, a nonprofit arts organization based in Whitefish, Montana. Through intimate concerts, special events, artist residencies, and educational opportunities, Amazing Place Music brings nationally and internationally recognized artists together with local performers and audiences in meaningful, up-close settings.

Mike is also a co-creator, composer, and performer in *The Way Way West*, an original American musical that blends contemporary folk and Americana music with theatrical storytelling. Inspired by real people and events surrounding the Mountain Meadows Massacre of 1857, the work explores how ambition, belief, violence, and personal choices can reverberate across lives and generations. Developed for both the concert stage and a fully staged theatrical production, *The Way Way West* represents an important new chapter in Mike’s life as a writer and storyteller.

In addition to his performing and producing work, Mike is a sought-after vocal and performance coach. Drawing on more than 40 years of professional experience, he works with singers, actors, speakers, and teachers to help them build confidence, communicate honestly, command the stage, and find greater freedom and ease in their work.
